And More Summer Fun!

Gram and Pops came up for a visit late last month to "meet my baby brothers". Don't worry, guys, I won't tell them that the real reason you came was to see me. One night when they were here, we took them to our favorite German restaurant in Queensbury. Grammie and Papa joined us and when I saw both of my grandmas and both of my grandpas together in one place, I exclamed, "BOTH!"
My Gram is SO FUN! She played blocks with me and made me giggle by saying, "Hey, hey, hey!" and "Holy moly guacamole!"I've been taking good care of my brothers since they've come home from the hospital. I like to peek at them to make sure everything is A-OK.I'm Mommy's little helper!! I do a great job of putting nukkies in my babies' mouths when they are crying, throwing away dirty diapers, and putting empty bottles in the sink. What would they do without me? Hmmm...maybe I should ask for a raise.I love my brothers so much and do a great job snuggling them.
Me and Matthew (who I also call "sloppy" based on his eating habits):Me with little Nathan (who I also call "Floppy" because he is so fragile):
Time to eat, babies. I'll shake up the bottle - milkshake!
We've been having a great summer, and getting out much more than any of us would have expected. Time for another outing to enjoy the sunshine!I did some gardening up at Grammie and Papa's house this summer, too. I know the difference between a marigold, geranium, and pansy. Doesn't every 22 month old? It's so nice to play outside.Whoa! That tree is so tall!
On really hot days, I get out and play in my pool!

I love it when Mommy puts my hair up in "princess bows."I still love reading books. "Are You My Mother" and "Goodnight Gorilla" are among my favorites.I also like watching videos on YouTube. My favorites include classic songs from Sesame Street (e.g., Manamana, Rock around the Clock, Do de Duck), the Muppets (Beeker performing Ode to Joy - aka "mi mi mi"), and alpaca videos. And speaking of alpacas, with the help of our friend Dave (who owns the alpaca farm that we visited back in April), we have finished finishing our basement which includes an office for Mommy and Daddy and a playroom for my brothers and me. He started back in January when it looked like this. Peekaboo, Mommy and Daddy!
But very quickly it began to take shape: Up go the walls......and the doors and ceiling. (Here's me back in March checking out the progress).
In the few spare minutes that Mommy and Daddy have these days, they've been painting and installing the flooring to finish it up. Then, they brought in the TOYS!!Nice acoustics down here!Daddy made me this chalkboard which take up almost this entire wall! Here's my first piece of artwork on it. I call it "Wheatfields".
I soon discovered the colored chalk to make my second picture.Another great feature of my playroom is the built-in terrarium. A family of frogs has made its home in the window well outside the egress window. We're guessing that they came to feast on the family of flies that was here last week, feasting on the mouse who fell into the well and couldn't figure out how to get out (even after several attempts to chew through the screen).
Thanks for the biology lab, Dave!

Hooray for my new playroom! Give me some boom!
