The Roast

I just got roasted.
"Hey, Kaira. The Michelin Man just called. He said he wants his thighs back." Boom. Roasted.
What? You mean this isn't what they mean when they refer to a 6 pack?

Bye Bye Cradle!

Alas. Though it's been adorning our living room since last August, the days of me napping in the wooden cradle are now over. A few days ago Mom and Dad saw me waking up from my nap peering over the top with the look of a fearless escapologist. So before I was able to show them one of my acrobatic tricks that I learned from my days in the circus, they decided that I had graduated from the cradle and was ready to spend my afternoons dreaming away in the Pack-N-Play instead.
Here's Dad disassembling the cradle:

It wasn't long after setting up the Pack-N-Play before someone ELSE decided to take a nap in it. Any guesses?

Yep...deja vous?

(NOTE: The correct answer is Zoli, and not TimBertWolf the Timberwolf, Lucky Duck, Trustee the Trustco Dog, or Valentine Puppy.)

Cousins!!

For Memorial Day, my uncle Mike came to visit and brought my cousins!! It was great to get to finally meet my cousins Taryn (11), Camryn (9), and Ryan (7)! We spent the day in downtown Saratoga Springs and even went to the park.
Our walk in the park was...well...a walk in the park! It was a little bright outside. Right, Dad?
I loved getting to feed the ducks. Ready... Aim... Fire!
Here Ducky Ducky!
Mom, hold me back!
Ryan discovered that you actually get more power and greater accuracy by standing on one leg!
Did you know that my Grandpa Rawert had a pet duck when he was a kid? Maybe Dad will let me bring home this one!
My cousins all got to ride on the carousel in the park. I would have joined them but I was taking a naplet at the time (plus, I had left my silks at home). What I REALLY wanted, though, was one of the cool stickers.
Here's me in the Saratoga Springs visitors center learning a little bit about the famous mineral waters.
Taryn wants to take me to see the musical "Wicked" someday!
My Uncle Mike is a lot of fun!
Hey, Uncle Mike - I'm gonna get your nose!
Later in the day, we got in a good game of "Where's the Baby?" before they had to head back to New Hampshire.

What a wonderful day! I hope I get to see my cousins again soon!!

FreeKairaReport.com

Well, I've got to admit it - I got caught up reading yet another book. And that ABC book was nothing compared to this one.
HIP HIP...HOORAY!! Final exams are over, spring semester grades are in, and graduation is behind us. Now, it's time to start the summer (and start blogging on a more regular basis)!!
Now that the semester is over and Mom and Dad have more time to play with me, Grammie headed back home to Kentucky. It may not take a village to raise a baby like me, but it definitely takes a mom, a dad, a Grammie, a Gram, and two gracious grandfathers willing to let me borrow their wives for a semester. Thanks everyone!!
My selection of menu items sure has increased lately. What started out as just cereal, apples, and yams has now exploded to include peaches, peas, prunes, bananas, carrots, green beans, and even chicken! Yep, it's official - I'M AN OMNIVORE! Did I mention that I have 2 teeth now? When I was teething, it felt good on my gums to chew on celery. I guess it was either that or the buffalo wings.Dad got me this cool net thing that we can put food in so I can try new foods. After trying a number of fruits and vegetables in there, Mom and Dad finally found something that I like. Any guesses as to what it was?
Tomatoes? Nope.
Apples? Nope.
Zesty Dill Pickes? Man, you're good! And so are spicy pickles. I've left the jungle and have now joined the circus. My friend Daniela has let me borrow her Circus Exersaucer and I LOVE IT! Here's me engaged in some serious (and fun) learning...
Here's me on my 8th month birthday:
Working out in the ExerSaucer has not only strengthened my mind, it's also strengthened my muscles, too. I'm not quite crawling yet, but I sure am creeping all over the place. If there's a toy I want, I'll find my way to it.
Now that the semester is over, I'm glad to be spending more time with Daddy!
And there's nothing like just chillaxing after a long semester of hard work!
